Banana Split Cake
A simple and delicious cake to make!! Sinfully good! One of those desserts from my mother’s generation that is timeless and nostalgic. Reminiscent of an old fashioned banana split, but it will not melt!

Crust
- 1 c pecans (chopped fine)
- 1 stick butter (melted)
- 1 c graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 c brown sugar
Filling
- 2 boxes of cream cheese ((8oz. each) at room temperature)
- 1 c powdered sugar
- 1 can crushed pineapple ((15 oz.) drained)
- 4 ripe bananas
- 1 1/2 c heavy whipping cream
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 T granulated sugar
Garnish
- Sliced strawberries or halved maraschino cherries
Crust
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together ingredients.
Press into a greased dish.
Bake on 350 degrees until browned, then cool completely.
Filling
Whip together softened cream cheese and powdered sugar.
Spread over cooled crust.
Cut banana lengthwise and arrange on filling.
Top with drained pineapple.
Garnish
Make whipped cream by whipping together cream, vanilla and granulated sugar.
Top pineapple with whipped cream.
Garnish with strawberry slices or cherries
